Epidemiologie nádorů slinivky

• Most patients are 60–80 years of age

• Males are affected twice as often as females

• 60%–70% are located in the pancreatic head
• 10%–20% in the body
• 5%–10% in the tail

Abdominal pain, weight loss, and jaundice are the main presentingcomplaints but generally occur late in the disease course. Prognosis ispoor, with a 1-year survival rate of less than 20% and a 5-year survivalrate of less than 5%. Non-resectable disease is seen at presentation in75% of patients, with metastases (mainly to the liver and peritoneum)present in 85% of these patients
