Class IV mutations

- Increases in the overall cell surface content of these mutants might overcome the relative reduction in conductance
- Restoring native chloride pore characteristics pharmacologically might be effective
- Impair anion permeation through the open pore (Class IV) (De Boeck and Amaral, 2016).
