Carcinoma in situ - prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN)

• no proof that PIN is a cancer precursor
• Closely associated with cancer
• These cancer cells begin to multiply and spread to the surrounding prostate tissue (the stroma) forming a tumor [11]
